Custom Design

Your ideas: we design and build them

If you have something special in mind to be made from stone products, Mark DeMille will meet with you, listen to your thoughts and ideas, and we will design and build from concept to reality.

It takes special vision and knowledge to understand how stone slabs can be shaped into a fireplace mantel or sculpted legs or how to design table legs that fit together with the base and top like a puzzle; how to make a flat piece of marble look round; or how to bring the furniture piece you have in mind to life.

Mark DeMille, Stone Designer

From his office in Thousand Palms, California, using 3D computerized drawing tools, Mark creates life-like concept drawings to aid in decision making. When concept drawings are complete, he then produces drawings for stone fabrication shops to produce your masterpiece.

Imagine reviewing a 3D model online with your own stone designer who works with you until it is just right. For homeowners, restaurants, bars, and hotels, Mark uses SketchUp Pro, a computer modeling program to collaborate with designers and architects on specialty sustainable bar, table, and furniture designs as well as whole house designs.

Mark believes “it is necessary to collaborate with each client to reach an understanding of their idea, to know what a design needs to be. I often create it in a 3D model before fabrication. Creative ideas come to life in a model, and they become real. I make sure each project is produced at the highest level, with attention and care give to the smallest details to be sure that when complete it is everything it can be, and that it meets or exceeds our client’s expectations.”
