Problem

Crack through the floor.

Cause

Movement in the foundation (California fault lines). Tile bond was still strong.

Solution

Client opted for a grind in place. The floor was ground flat and the crack was filled with polyester resin. The holes were also filled. The floor was ground again to flatten out the glue and brought to a honed finish.

Result

A perfectly flat floor, with no uneven tile edges.
